Small Quantity, Custom Dolls.
Because of the many requests to do small quantity, custom dolls, I’ve taken a couple of silkscreen classes and learned how to print on fabric. When time permits I’ll be printing out some small runs of different dolls.
I’m pretty excited about this silkscreen process and would love to do other types of projects with it. Who knows, maybe screen print on cards, bags, t-shirts.

Small Specialty Orders?
I’ve been asked by several people to do small specialty orders. One woman wanted 15 Eco-Friendly Husband From Hell Voodoo Dolls to hand out to family and friends (as a joke). Others have wanted to order even fewer. The problem is that the quotes on the dolls are silkscreen printed by a professional company and they have a minimum order requirement of 50 impressions.
Which brings me to learning how to silkscreen. I took a day workshop last month which taught me the basics. This month is another workshop which will teach me how to work with photo emulsion. This process should give me the fine details that I need in order to get the quotes to print cleanly and clearly.
By the end of March (or the beginning of April) I should be able to print small specialty orders. What fun it will be to do personalized Eco-Friendly Voodoo Dolls!
I’m looking forward to seeing the new dolls (and getting some laughs out of it too).
